Big Brusher is always watching

Leave it to Dyson to find new ways to complicate everyday tasks. You might remember the Dyson Zone headphones with built-in air purifying mask – a bizarre product ripped straight from a dystopian cyberpunk timeline.

This time, it’s dental care. At a launch in Paris – and again at IFA in Berlin – Dyson unveiled the CameraJet, a £420 electric toothbrush with built-in water flosser and AI-enhanced cameras that pinpoint problem spots. Via the companion app, you can even watch a real-time feed of the inside of your mouth as you brush, giving you the same terrifying view dentists endure on a daily basis.

Utterly bizarre? Absolutely. A total game-changer for dental hygiene? Only time – and a proper test by our experts – will tell.

In other news, IFA trundles on, with announcements galore from Xiaomi, Acer and Sonos. I’ve also got a pair of smashing deals for you this week, and two more reviews from our home section to take us into the weekend: a top-notch value mattress from DreamCloud and a powerful 3-in-1 vacuum from Shark.

We independently review everything we recommend. When you purchase through our links, we may earn a commission.
